Travelling during notice period (gardening leave)

Post by SJB29 » Wed May 24, 2017 1:03 pm

Hi,

I am currently under T2 General visa. Recently, i have been put on gardening leave by my employer which started on 10th May and will end on 10th August and i will be paid for all the three months. Therefore, my termination date of the employment contract will be 10th August. My employer has informed Home Office about the change of circumstances about my gardening leave and they will inform once again on 10th August about the termination of my contract. In this situation-

Can i travel outside of the UK and return back during my gardening leave? I am travelling on 30th May and will return on 3rd June.

Will my current BRP have any issue while entering through the airport?

Any reply will be really helpful since i am in huge doubts.

Thanks in advance

There shouldn't be any issue in your case since your visa hasn't ended yet. However I suggest carrying relevant paperwork (resignation letter, documentation about gardening leave etc) in case the entry officer has additional questions
