Tier 5 YMS ---> Working as a member of the E.U

Hello,
I have a question that I hope you guys could help me with.
Me and my other half are working here in the UK with Tier 5 YMS Visas. Mine ends Oct 1, 2017 and my other half's visa ends May 1, 2018.

I'm eligible to get my Portuguese citizenship, therefore would I be able to get my citizenship and continue working in the UK as a member of the E.U? (Until new Brexit rules come in place) If so, how would it work? Would I still have to leave the country by October 1st and return shortly after?

Yes.

You apply for Portuguese nationality and obtain evidence of it to show your employer.

No.
