Suggest you go to http://gov.uk and look through the section Visa and Immigration (EEA/EU ). Under freedom of movement you can enter the UK without permission (if you are all EEA/EU). The British Embassy in Bern might have a web section regarding living and working in the UK (Leben und Arbeiten in GB) - suggest you review the information there and plenty of web sites available.

Switzerland is not EU/EEA but since 1 June 2002, Swiss citizens have broadly similar rights to EEA citizens as far as living/working/settlement in the U.K. is concerned. https://www.gov.uk/eea-registration-certificate

The scheduled departure of the U.K. from the EU on 29 March 2019 may have some impact on this.
