Naturalisation application concerns

Post by ronarongp » Mon May 29, 2017 3:16 pm

Hi guys,

I need some advice please. I have all required documents and readily to submit the application. But I have 1 big concern as I was bankrupted once but discharge took effect on 25 September 2007. I was told before that I need to wait 10 years before I can apply for naturalisation. Technically, I am still still within 9 years period and will be 10 years on 25 September 2017. Do you think it will affect my application or should I wait until September before I apply?. Also I am currently receiving benefit due to illness, will it also affect my application?. I don't want to apply and get refused. Please give me some advice. Thank you very much.

Please continue in your original thread where you have been receiving advice on the same issue.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
