Salary post ext- show at ILR it was not from investment?

If we draw a salary post extension, do we need to prove that it was not from the investment made before extension? For example, by showing fresh investment or by showing that it came from profit?

The requirement remains the same for ILR. HO could ask you to show that you invested the funds in the business and did not pay it back to yourself.

Hi Zimba

Thank you for your reply.
When I apply, do you think it would be better if I provide the proof that the salary didn't come from the investment with the application itself, or wait for them to contact me?

You do not need to provide any evidence other than what has been asked for.

For an ILR application, the guidance is clear that if you have been awarded points for investment at renewal, you don't need to provide it again.

There is no need to provide accounts, bank statements, etc. So, purely based on the documents you need to submit, the CW cannot determine whether you have drawn the money or not. Also, assuming you have had other revenues and/or investment into your business, taking salary does not mean it is from your investment.

As long as you have a genuine business and that is clear, I don't see a reason why the CW would ask for more documents

Hi Marc

Thank you for your reply.
For ILR, how does one meet the financial requirements to show one has enough funds to not have to rely on public funds?
Did you submit payslips and your personal bank account statements?
