Hi All,
Hoping someone can offer some much needed words of wisdom I recently submitted an application for a spouse settlement visa on my wife's behalf. I've paid all the fees and we are attending VFS office in Dubai next week to complete the application.
However, I do have a slight issue with 'date of intended travel' that I'm worried about. Online application date is May 17 and I've stated intended date of travel as September 1. I did this because based on the period of 60 days waiting, plus we are using the 'passport passback' service because she needs to travel in the interim, so anticipating it will take longer. Very worried as I've seen that applications should be made up to 3 months of intended travel. Upon reflection we are actually happy to make the move as soon as visa approval comes through, whether that be 3 months or 3 weeks.
My question would be, is this something that I could explain in a cover letter stating the above? Or, should I fear the worst and would they reject my application based on this discrepancy? If they would, I think I need to request a refund before the appointment date.
Thanks so much for anyone's advice, really appreciated during this stressful time!
