Query to apply for Vignette Transfer

Hi, I got Tier-2 (General) Visa on 08-May-2017 and my vignette is valid from 29-May-2017 to 28-June-2017. Here due to medical reason I could not travel for next 3 months. So I planned to travel on September 2017. My Sponsor has agreed. Do I need to apply for Vignette transfer before the expiry of my current vignette (i.e., before 28-June-2017) or during August or September 2017?
