Hi good day!
I would just like to ask if i can send follow up documents to Home Office in Durham regarding my Resident Card application. I arrived here in UK last January 16,2017 and immediately sent my RC application February of 2017. I have already received a Certificate of Application last March 19,2017. I am applying as a non-EU dependant of an EU CItizen who is working here in UK for 3 years. However, my mother, who is the EU Citizen and my sponsor, just realized we sent the wrong passport(her passport) with my application(i also sent my passport with the family permit). She once lost a passport and requested for a temporary one for an emergency. She blocked her old lost passport and then applied for a new one. Then she found her old passport that she had already blocked. So, then she had 3 passports with her-- the old blocked one, the temporary one, and a new one. I was not informed by these transactions. I only knew then that she had a temporary and the lost one. I didn't know she blocked the old one and regained a new passport. I wrongly sent with my application the old blocked one because it is still not expired and i thought it is still valid. It is also the passport she gave to me. So i just checked the expiration date, made sure it is not the temporary passport, and then submitted it with my application.
My question is, can we send the new valid passport as a follow up document? I am not allowed to apply for a bank account or a job until i have my resident card so i am technically alone in the house doing nothing at all. I don't want to wait for another six months just because my application will be rejected since we sent the wrong documents when we could have prevented it. My mother told me she is sorry nobody's perfect, we cannot do anything but wait and then proceeded to her facebook browsing. She has a job to keep her busy but i am here getting depressed all day, waiting. There is so much going on outside, so much unrest, and i am just here feeling useless. I am sorry for ranting here, but i really need advice from you good people. Please help me in my dilemma. Thank you in advance!
