Help: Applying for naturalisation but CIFAS concerns

Post by armranazi » Thu Jun 08, 2017 1:58 pm

Hi there.
I have a quick question. I intend to apply for naturalisation later this month but I am a bit worried now from the things I have been reading on here. About 3 years ago TSB bank had placed a 'CIFAS category 6 first party fraud' marker against my name due to a faster payment transaction that was genuine but they insisted that the transaction was not genuine and thus, they would not remove my name. I tried all other options to get the flag removed and even engaged the FOS to assist but I didnt get anywhere with the contest. I then learnt that the CIFAS marker remains for 6 years. I have no convictions whatsoever. Aside the CIFAS flag my records are all round clean. Would I be alright to apply for the naturalisation or do I have to wait until the 6 years is over before I apply?
