Family Permit in an old damaged passport

Post by giomerlin » Fri Jun 09, 2017 4:48 pm

Hello,

I have a family permit visa and unfortunately I forgot my passport in the pocket and it went to washing machine. The chip appeared in the last page, so the passport is damaged (info page is perfect). I already made a new passport, but I have a flight booked to Milan next month, and I don't know if the immigration will accept my visa when I re-enter in UK. The visa lost some of the color (photograph and details), but still possible to read the numbers and etc. I went to Home Office's branches on Westminster (sent me to Croydon) and Croydon (said to me to call to 0300 123 2231, where it's impossible to talk with an attendant) to ask if the visa still valid, but no answer till now. I've also sent two emails to home office and, again, no answer yet. Anyone knows who should I contact or how to help me?
Many thanks!
