An ILR application can take up to 6 months to decide :!:

On Positive note , if you have clear immigration history than nothing to worry about . As far as the work place is concerend , you can ask them to check with HO that my application is under process with them .

To my best knowledge HO don't issue such letters but employer can ask them through employer help line . Is your exisiting visa finished ?

Best of luck!
Thanks

Ali

The home office letter is sufficient for you to remain in the UK under the same terms of your existing visa until a decision is made. And the ILR process may take anything from 6 months to a year depending on your individual case history.

Hi Kanddy,

If you have posted your application in time then the only proof you have is the royal mail receipt. Your employer can always ring UKVI regarding this and take their advice. My employer did this last year and I was allowed to work. Later on, I gave them the biometric letter as further proof.

UKVI do not send acknowledgment letters anymore so you will get the biometric letter after the payment has been processed.

I am not an expert in this field but thought of sharing my experience as I was in a similar situation.
