Am I in trouble? Help me out?

Post by TRV » Thu Feb 07, 2008 8:50 pm

Folks,

I worked in Ireland for little under six years for same company and got an unlimited work permit (still I have it in hand). But I got transferred to our US office 10 months back and now I am being transferred back to Ireland again. I am a visa required national and my Irish Visa is still valid until Mar 2008(Lucky that I renewed my visa just before I came to US and so still i valid for another two month or so). I can relocate back to Ireland before March 2008, that is befre my current visa expires. Now the question that I have is - will my absence in Ireland for 10 months create trouble for me to renew my visa? If they check my tax payment, then they know that I wasn't paying tax for last 10 months. Am I in trouble? I haven't got my LTR yet but applied two years ago and am part of that waiting crowd !!! To make it clean, my employer can apply for a new work permit - which would be time consuming, so prefer not to take that route if I can. My employer is supportive and flexible to do anything within legal limits.

Help me out folks...

Thanks
