Biometric residence permit - incorrect length

Hi,

I have recently applied for my spouse visa extension (as partner of a British citizen), and my BRP arrived yesterday, but the duration is only for 1 year and 6 months.

Original entry clearance was given for 33 months, and I was expecting 30 months for the extension.

I contacted the Admin review team via e-mail, but they came back saying they don't support this route. My originals are yet to arrive (only received the BRP).

If anyone can provide some explanation/advise, that would be very helpful.

Notes:
x - This is the first time I am getting a BRP as it wasn't introduced during the time time of my entry clearance (Aug 2014)
x - Immigration health surcharge paid was £500 - This would be for 2.5 years.
