3C and ILR or settlement

Dear All,

I need some help ....

-Applied for asylum in March 2011
-Was granted HP for 1 year expiring July2012
-Made an in-time application for further leave in July 2012
-Application was refused Nov 2015 (3years + delay)
-Appealed and FTT dismissed my appeal
-Appealed to the UTT and was allowed my appeal in April 2017
-Today, I received a letter confirming grant of HP for 5 years which expires in 2022

Can anyone explain to me how 3C extension of leave could help my settle now as the delay adds up to 6 years now and the application for settlement under HP is 5 years .
