Tier-2 - Doing part time help for a self-employed.

Post by MUFC_B » Wed Jun 14, 2017 7:16 pm

Hi there,

I am a permanent employee of a firm with Tier- 2 General Visa. Recently I have been offered to help for a self employed friend who is doing night club promotions. As part of this I can choose to work the number of part time hours and I would need to sign not an employment contract but a terms and conditions contract.

Obviously he would need to pay Tax and he is asking now for all my details. Therefore, my questions is would this have an adverse affect on my visa/ILR applications if I work for number of hours for cash under this terms and conditions contract. Or is it ok ?. I do have to repeat that it is not an employment contract.

You can't do it, unless it's PAYE and in the same field as your T2 visa.
