Visit Visa Refused.

Post by jahjah1 » Thu Jun 15, 2017 4:56 am

Hi, I need some advice regarding my mother's refusal of a visit visa. This is the second time after a refusal in 2006 after following bad advice.
I've copy the details of the refusal letter below.

Your application for a visit visa to the United Kingdom has been refused.
How your application was considered.
You have applied for a visa to visit the UK.
In deciding whether you meet the requirements of Appendix V: Immigration Rules for visitors…..link deleted…… I have considered
• Your application, and any additional relevant information you have provided with it
• Your immigration history
The decision.
I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of paragraph (s) V4.2 and 4.3 Appendix V: Immigration Rules for Visitors because:
You state you wish to visit the UK for 2 weeks to visit your relatives, and sightsee. You stated in your application and our records confirm that you were previously refused entry clearance as visitor in 2006. Although the aforementioned entry clearance refusal has been taken into consideration this application has been assesses based upon the information provided with your current application.
You stated that you are planning to spend £500.00 on this UK trip. In regards to current funds held by you. I acknowledge that you have provided a bank statement showing ending balance of (£258.90) on……date. I am not satisfied that you have demonstrated that you have sufficient funds available to cover your costs whilst in the UK without working or accessing public funds. Your application has therefore been refused under paragraph V4 2 (e).
You have also stated on your visa application that your son, who resides in the UK, will pay £2000.00 for your UK trip. As evidence of this you have provided your son’s Credit Union statement with and ending balance of £902.25 on……date. I am not satisfied that you have demonstrated that your son is capable of providing support to you for the intended duration of your stay. In view of the above your application has been refused under paragraph V4.3.
Future Applications. Any future UK visa application you make will be considered on their individual merits; however you are likely to be refused unless the circumstances of your application change.

1. My mother submitted the wrong bank statement in her application. The one she submitted was a statement from last year.
2. Regarding my statement, I submitted my current account bank statement that showed a balance of over £2000 in the account in the 6 months of bank statement I sent to her which she submitted including my Credit Union savings account statement. So I'm at lost as to how the ECO disregarded my Current account statement.

Can anyone offer me some advice on what to do next please? Thanks.

There isn't much she can do, except to reapply with the correct evidence that addresses the ECO's concerns.

Hi Vinny, thanks. Regarding my accounts, do you think I should just submit my savings account showing the funds to cover her trip and leave out my current account statements this time?

the ECO seems to disregard documents more often than i thought. seems to be a pattern emerging.

Did you complain and receive any response. I am waiting on my complaint.

I second that. I read a number of cases where ECO seems to have ignored or missed secondary documentation.
This is something which we have no control
Better submit one bank account with required funds if possible
Any suggestions I make in the forum are out my personal experience and should not be taken as a legal/professional advise.

As far as I know you can't complain or appeal. Am I wrong? Who did you complain to?
