ILR

Post by wabbit » Sat Jun 17, 2017 6:37 pm

Pls help While in the uk on a student visa i met my partner and we moved in together, when my student visa expired i returned back to pakistan and applied for a unmarried partner visa as we were not married at that time.
I was successful in my application and was granted a visa for 2 years and returned back to the uk and my partner.
My partner and i went on holiday to pakistan and while we were there got married (nikah) this was not planned as prior to our holiday my family had not met my partner and were not happy with the match, after meeting her they changed their mind and quickly arranged a marriage as they we not happy we we living together.

I got married in pakistan but have never registered the marriage in the uk when i applied for my ILR there was an option on the form that says are you married, i ticked no as i was under the impression our marriage in pakistan is not recognised in the uk unless we got it registered which we had not, i have now found out since that our marriage is recognised but im the mean time have been granted my ILR (2015) i am worried this would be classed as deception and that my ILR will be revoked. my question is should i let the home office know about my mistake?
