Difference in waiting periods for family members?

Hi all, is there a difference in waiting periods for family members (singh route, non-eu dependants)? A spouse can apply immediately after 5 years for PRC. But do the children of the same family have to wait another year before being able to apply (i.e. 6-year rule)?
