Tier 2 dependent visa for new born india

Hi ,

My 9 months old son is in india(born in india ),we are planning to drop tier-2 dependent visa for him and bring to UK.Myself and my husband are staying here in UK.Can my mother or sister take him to VFS and apply for visa from india.
Also please let me know what and all documents are required.

I think that the local guardian should be able to take the child to VFS. There are some signatures that the legal guardian will have to take care of though.

The documents I remember are:
- Father's passport (all pages) and biometric (with valid T2G visa) copies
- Mother's passport (all pages) and biometric copies
- At least 1 of the parents should have added the other's name as spouse. If not, attach marriage certificate.
- Maintenance of funds proof
- Completed application form
- Valid PHOTOS!
- Child's birth certificate

The other documents that I added (but may not be needed were):
- Tenancy agreement
- Payslips for 6 months
- Additional address proofs (bill, etc)
Just saying that I earn well enough to support the baby!

I suspect that you will need at least 1 parent or legal guardian with the child when the child travels from India to UK. However, I may be completely wrong.
