Wording on PR Card (Non-EEA)

Post by ribena » Tue Jun 20, 2017 11:34 am

Good morning everyone,

I retained rights to residence and have received the PR card today. Just a bit confused to why at the bottom of the card it says 'Residence Card of a Family member of a Union citizen' when I am not longer am technically...Can someone please shed light on this?

Are the wordings correct?

thanks!

I believe this is the standard wording and it is used even if you are divorced. you will remember that when you retain your right it still stated Family member of a Union citizen, it is only the cover note which gives more details about your situation.
What is written in your cover note? and did they mention the exact date at which you acquire PR?
GOD BLESS!!!

Thanks Fatimahh,
My PR should be in Dec 2012, was married in 2007, but cover letter says 10th Jan-17 when I submitted the EEA4 application. Not going to bother to 'correct' HO, will be applying for BC next year.
