Disclosure of Police Information Notice (PIN)- Form 9993

Post by Pillar » Tue Jun 20, 2017 6:35 pm

Hi all,

First of all, apologies if this has been discussed previously (I have browsed through the forum but could not find an close enough topic)

I would be grateful if any of the moderators or members could shed some light into the problem I am currently have.

I have been lucky enough to be issued with ILR a year ago.I am planning to take the Life in the UK test and apply for Naturalisation soon as it has been a year now I have had ILR.

However, I have been issued with a Police Information Notice (PIN) recently for contacting my ex. It was my mistake. It was posted to my house. The letter does say 'This does not in any way constitute a criminal record and will only be referred to should further allegations harassment be received',
however, I have read that this will show up in the enhanced DBS. I am in a dilemma now whether I should disclose this in the application form and or whether this will act against me in terms of consideration of good character!

Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks all.

If it's not a conviction or formal caution you are ok, no need to disclose.
