Financial Requirement Question

Post by DaveUK1988 » Fri Jun 23, 2017 12:53 pm

Hello everyone, I hope someone can shed some light on this..

My partner, she is an Albanian citizen in Albania and I am wanting to bring her to the United Kingdom. I know of the Financial Requirement being a staggering £18,600 to support however I am claiming Disability Living Allowance. I am however signed off work sick with anxiety and depression and am now on ESA.

Am I still financially exempt and able to bring her to the United Kingdom please?

Kind Regards and all the best and of course thank you in advance to anyone who maybe able to help me.

Immigration Directorate Instruction Family Migration: Appendix FM Section 1.7 Financial Requirement (Page 14) wrote: Meeting the financial requirement through “adequate maintenance”
3.6.1. Where the applicant’s partner is in receipt of any of the following benefits or allowances in the UK, the applicant will be able to meet the financial requirement at that application stage by providing evidence of “adequate maintenance” rather than meeting an income threshold:

Carer’s Allowance. 
Disability Living Allowance. 
Severe Disablement Allowance. 
Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit. 
Attendance Allowance. 
Personal Independence Payment. 
Armed Forces Independence Payment or Guaranteed Income Payment under the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme. 
Constant Attendance Allowance, Mobility Supplement or War Disablement Pension under the War Pensions Scheme.
Are you claiming both ESA and DLA? If so, you should be fine.
