Hello,
From when does time start towards PR?
EU Citizens have an initial right of residence for up to three months. Thereafter, EU Citizens will have to live lawfully in the EU Host Member State. Therefore, living in the United Kingdom in compliance with Article 7 of the DIRECTIVE 2004/38/EC. When applying for PR; can we include the Right of residence for up to three months as per Article 6?
My partner arrived in the UK on the 24th February 2017. He has been a qualified person from day one.
The prime Minister has the intention of allowing EU Citizens already in the UK to carry on exercising Treaty Right until they have accumulated 5 years of lawful residence to count towards PR.
She stated that EU Citizens living in the UK prior to triggering Article 50 will be safe to stay. Does it include Citizens who have been residing in the UK for less than three months but who have been exercising their Treaty Rights from their first day of arrival?
Thank you,
Trevor
