Inviting my brother to visit me in the UK

Post by 2008mimi » Mon Jun 26, 2017 6:10 am

Hi

Looking to invit my brother to visit me in the UK for few months, I work as a site manager with 23k salary pa and got my house.

My question is what sort documents do I need to support his application to visit?

He is not working as he only just completed his studies?

Please sort of documents do I meet to support his application?

I am a British citizen.

I look forward hearing from you.

Many thanks

Most importantly, your brother need to submit compelling evidence of financial stability and strong ties to his home country.

He should provide proof of employment/bank statements/documents relating to any land or property he owns/documented evidence of any dependent relatives or close family he has in his home country.

The ECO needs to be convinced that he won't overstay in the UK.

Many thanks for your reply.

He has go petty job with income of about £1500 equivalent. Other than that he's got Notting our mother is in African where he lives.

But I can afford to invite him for few month and stay with me in my house and provide all transportation around UK and foods all.

Would this be enough?

Regards

Not unless you can also submit evidence of his financial stability in his home country as I've already mentioned. What do you mean by a 'a petty job' ?

Ah! I thought you meant £1500 a month. Earnings as low as £50 a month, no property and no dependants, the ECO is highly likely to take the view than he has nothing to lose by staying with you (his sister) in the UK.
