Addressing for German Shengen visa application.

Hello,

Must an invitation letter for the Shengen Visa be addressed to The German Embassy/ Consulate in particular? I want to go to Germany on a visitor shengen visa, and currently my invitation letter is addressed : 'to whom it may concern'. I have my appointment soon, and there isn't sufficient time to make a change by the person who has invited me.
