Hi All
I am applying to switch from Tier 4 to Tier 2 in the UK.
I know that for certain jobs, applicants (as well as their dependents) must provide criminal record checks from the countries they have lived in the past 10 years.
After doing more research, I learned that people who are switching from Tier 4 to Tier 2 (in country application) are not required to provide the checks. Is this correct?
In the Tier 2 Policy Guidance, they say
If you are applying for Tier 2 (General) entry clearance and are coming to work in the education, health and social care sectors you must provide a criminal record certificate as part of your application.
So I thought this applies only to those who are applying for Tier 2 from their own country (not those who switch in the UK). And that was what I read from some other source online.
But I thought I should really double-check.
Please let me know if you know anything about this, or were in a similar situation.
Thanks
