Tier 2 General- Application for Depandents

Post by monushh » Thu Jun 29, 2017 2:07 pm

Hello,

Please can someone clarify if it is compulsory to apply for Dependents along with the main applicant for Tier 2 General visa?

Or, can the dependents make separate applications once the main applicant visa application's outcome is known?

The main applicant is already on a Tier 2 General visa applying in the UK to switch organisation.

Thank you.

Are the dependents in the UK?
If yes, how long is their leave valid?
Any suggestions I make in the forum are out my personal experience and should not be taken as a legal/professional advise.

Much appreciated!

Yes, the dependents are in the UK and their visas are expiring in March 2018.

But, the main applicant's job start date at the new organisation is on September 2017.

Therefore, the applicant is planning to put the application next week or so..(I think this application of the main applicant will be considered as extension and not switching into Tier 2 General as the main applicant is already in Tier 2 General visa- Please correct me if I am wrong?).

Can the dependents make separate applications after receiving the main applicant's decision or do they have to put along with the main applicant?

Thank you.

They do not need to apply same time as the main applicant. They can apply anytime before visa expiry

Hi again, Please can you advise if Criminal record certificates are required with the main and dependent applications? Thank you.

Thank you.
