Bank statement requirement and processing times

Post by kumail_dhirani » Sun Jul 02, 2017 12:17 pm

Hi all,

I am in the process of gathering and submitting spouse visa application for my wife in Tanzania. So far I have mainly two questions as below:

1. Bank statements - I intend on requesting bank statements through the post for the past 6 months that shall be submitted with the application. I bank with NatWest. Presuming the statements through the post are original, I would not be requiring any pages to be stamped or any cover letter from the bank, which I would require if I were getting electronic bank statements? Can by understanding be confirmed?

2. Processing time - Applications from Tanzania are usually sent to South Africa for processing, this would mean different processing times to Sheffield and hopefully, shorter waiting?

Thank you.

Thanks for your reply. I plan on paying for the priority service, hopefully should be quicker but not definitely sure. 40 working days is not too bad either, considering timelines from other countries.

Yeah, it's not as bad. Priority should shorten the wait. All the best!
