Tier 2 dependant extension

HI,

I am applying now for my wife tier 2 extension as a dependant on me. I have obtained my ILR last November. I have couple of questions about the form.

1- there is a question about my visa status, with a note that if I obtained ILR to state how I qualified for it. Which I put as Tier 2 general.
But they ask for the BRP number next - Do I put the BRP number for my last Tier 2 visa ( which is cancelled now), or do I put the BRP number of the ILR?

2- Re the maintenance money. I have enough money in my account. but my wife's account doesn't meet the required amount. If I submit my bank statement, do I need to write a letter to state that I am happy to provide financial support. She has always been on dependant visa with me.
