In-laws visit visa

Post by seshurt » Mon Jul 03, 2017 11:44 am

Hi,

My in-laws looking to make visit visa application together to UK. Father-in-law is employed and sponsoring the trip for mother-in-law. They have a joint account and showing funds from it towards visa.

In the application, where they ask about savings available ( for mother-in-law application), can she mention half the amount in the joint account? Or should she say 'zero' savings and her husband is sponsoring the trip?

Please let me know your comments.

Thanks,
Seshu

She could say half the amount but make sure you mention that mil is a dependent of fil and therefore no income

Thanks @poper!

I will make that note in her application and also as a covering letter.

Any idea if I can send photocopies of my bank statements/employment letter/rental agreement /council tax, rather than originals?

Please advice.

Seshu

Should be fine. I just sent scanned copies by email and my parents took a print.
