Hi Guys,
I am a Turkish National, my husband is a British Citizen. I am in the UK on a British Residence Permit as his Spouse.
We plan to drive through Europe within the next few months, and so I have applied for a Schengen and got an appointment with the French Consulate (TLS contact) on 18th July 2017, as France will be our first entry. Our original intended date of arrival in the Schengen area (question 29 on the form) we put down as 26th August 2017, and the intended date of departure from the Schengen area (question 30) we put down as 10th September 2017.
I understand that we need to provide proof of travel (i.e. return ferry tickets), which I was planning to purchase ASAP (obviously before our appointment with the consulate). However I have just found out that we will not be able to go on the 26th August and return on 10th September as previously planned due to new unavoidable work commitments. Instead, we plan to go in October 2017.
So my questions are;
1. Now that my appointment is booked and our intended arrival/departure dates are set on the form/application as 26.08 - 10.09, what happens if our proof of travel (ferry tickets) are different (i.e. some dates in October 2017)? I have been in touch with P&O Ferries and they did not get back to me but I basically asked them if they offer an open ticket which can be used on any date but I don't think they offer such service unfortunately. Unless you guys have any suggestions??
2. This is the list of supporting documents I need to provide as I am a Spouse to an EU Citizen (which the UK is still currently under!) https://fr.tlscontact.com/gb/lon/page.p ... eu_citizen
This list does not show any insurance proof, whereas the other documents lists, i.e the Tourism Schengen, does say you need insurance proof. So do I need to provide proof of insurance or not?
Many thanks for your help
