Is the continuouse residence broke?

Post by anthonychia » Tue Jul 11, 2017 5:29 pm

I have started planning for my future SET(LR) application and I realised that there MIGHT be a gap of more than 28 days between visas:
1) Tier 4 Sept 2008 - July 2013 (unsure the end date)
2) Tier 4 Sept 2013 - Sept 2014
3) Tier 4 Sept 2014 - Sept 2018

You have noticed that there is a gap of 2 months between visa 1) and visa 2), this is more than 28 days, violating the continuous residence rule. Now, I should explain why I'm unsure of the end date. When i started my visa 1), I was initially granted 6 years but due to an early completion, my visa was shortened by don't know how long, hence the visa end date stated in passport is no longer applicable. There was no email or notification from UKBA/UKVI, only a notice from the university on July 2013 saying I have been reported to the immigration due to early completion before the course completion date. Simple search on google shows that people are usually given 2-3 months extra after the early completion notice from the university. Is there a way to find out exactly when did my visa 1) actually end as I will need that SET(LR) form?

If you did not receive an official curtailment letter from HO, then your visa is considered valid till the expiry date. University letter has no bearing on this
