Leaving UK after cancelled sponsorship - checklist

Post by deshawnshaw » Wed Jul 12, 2017 10:23 am

Hi,

I have lived in UK for almost a year now under a 5-year Tier 2 sponsored visa. In May, I was given notice of termination of employment and now I have decided to return to my country of origin (in Europe, but not in EU/EEA).

Even though it has been 2 months, I have still not received any notification of curtailment of my visa.

I was simply wondering about a checklist of things I have to do before I leave. More specifically, is there anyone at all I need to contact and inform of the decision? I know I have to fill a P85 since I still have taxable income in the UK, but other than that and cancelling bills (including council tax), I don't see whether there's anything else to do.

Thanks!
