Set LR or Set M-- Advise needed....Important!!!

Post by md haque » Wed Jul 12, 2017 10:18 pm

Dear Members,
As indicated by a Moderator, here I'm starting a new topic with a view that this time I would make it simpler & get some valuable advise....

UK Entry: September 2007 (Student Dependent)
Switched to Tier 1 (General): April 2011
Switched to FLR (M): December 2016
Earning Amendment for Tax Year 2010/11 around 2 years back & tax liabilities been paid
UK Ties: British Citizen Spouse & British/Irish Dual Citizen Child as well as having both of us professionals
Question: Should I apply for 10 year Long Residency (given the current climate) or wait to complete 5 years as a Spouse & then apply for ILR on SET (M)?

I could get accountant's letter as one of his trainee did my SA back in that tax year & also I didn't check or sign the SA at the time. But in saying all that, I just don't want to spend this huge fees & not succeed as this could still come back to me as my responsibilities, I would rather wait & apply later.

Your valuable opinions would be much appreciated....

Many Thanks in advance.
