US B2 visa application while on T2 dependant

Hi,

I am on Tier 2 dependent visa and there are only 5 months remaining on my current visa status, no doubt we are going for a next extension in this December, but I am planning to apply for USA B2 visa, does anyone tell me the 5 months left timeline will make any difference on US visa approval ? Any evidence documentation which I can refer to ?
