Chance of rejection for mistake on app?

Post by rhlsf » Thu Jul 13, 2017 7:39 pm

Hi all,

So my Tier 4 visa app has been in for 8 business days now, no word on the final decision yet, but I just noticed that I said No to the question "Have you ever had another passport?" I originally thought that meant another passport from another country. I've only ever had my US passport, which I've renewed twice. Now I'm realizing that they might have meant have I had another US passport before my current US passport.

Has anyone heard of a person getting rejected over this before? I'm not sure if this one was minor, or if like a number of things on a US application, it can be overlooked.

Any comments welcome. Thanks

It could be grounds for refusal. It could be seen as failure to disclose material facts, and also possible deception. It's possible.

What things do you mean?!
I do not give immigration advice. I refer you to Immigration Rules, guidance, other online content and to your sponsor.

I meant that applications from the US don't have to send proof of financials, TB test, records showing previous education and such. I was hoping that this was one of those things that they would overlook and possibly request clarification on.
