Unemployed Stamp 3 applying for naturalization

Post by Tatalo » Fri Jul 14, 2017 10:18 am

Hi,

My wife is applying for an Irish citizenship through naturalization (5 years residency).
She was on stamp 3 for the whole time so she didn't work. However, I work and support her.
My question is in her application section 9 "Means of Support" she should tick the "unemployed" box or the "other" and add that I support her?

Thanks!!

I think that you should tick 'other' and add that she dependent on you. I think 'unemployed' box is for people who are not working but claiming unemployment welfare. your wife is not working but not claiming any social welfare cuz you are covering the her expenses. You will need to provide a sort of your income proof like tax record or pay slip along with your application.
