ILR 6 years DLR

Post by Asif1122 » Sat Jul 15, 2017 12:32 pm

Hello,
I would like to ask a question and hope to hear from you soon. Me and my family have been in the UK since 2008 and claimed asylum. The case was refused but then in 2012 we were granted Discretionary Leave to Remain for 3 years, which then got extended for another 3 years in 2015. Now next year I am due to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain. So I had a couple of simple questions regarding that, which are as follow:

1) After getting ILR next year when can I apply for Naturalisation i.e. British Nationality?

2) Secondly, my first DLR was granted in February 2012 which expired in February 2015 but the second extension was renewed in October 2015, so they took 8 months processing the application. So originally my 6 years on DLR will complete in February 2018. Can you please tell me if I need to apply for ILR in Feb 2018 or October 2018. Will Home Office take into consideration the time they took to process DLR extension? Or will they go with the expiry date showing on DLR resident permit?
Thanking you in advance, will be waiting for your reply.

Kind Regards
Asif
