Section L queries

Hi All,

I am aware that Section L has been discussed in the past umpteen times but still not clear about the information that needs to be filled in in L1,L2,L3 and L4.

I would appreciate of somebody can explain it in most simplified way.

We need to print the most recent CAR from company's house however I still need exact answers for below questions:

My company was incorporated on 21st nov 2013 whilst I was on PSW visa.PSW visa expiry date 3 Jan 2014.

L1 - do you wish to take your date of entry into the UK as your specified date?

Yes - Go to L2 , No - go to L3. (Which one I should select?)

L2- You must provide evidence to establish your date of entry ......

Passport containing visa

Flight tickets

Other - give details

L3.Were you

Self employed

Director of a company

Member of limited partnership

Member of partnership

L4 Appropriate evidence to demonstrate your registration

HMRC documents (Which documents in specific are we supposed to provide?)

Company's house - I am assuming recent CAR report within 3 months of extension.

Where do I need to fill in specified date and what will be the specified date please help.

Lastly do we need to submit Business bank statement and business contract to confirm viability and credibility of the business?

Is there was a big difference between the issue date of your Visa and your entry date ? And when did you register your company or register as self-employed ?

The specified date is used to determine if you have registered self-employed/director within 6 months.

So, if you need more time use the entry date, otherwise say No

Lastly do we need to submit Business bank statement and business contract to confirm viability and credibility of the business?

No.
