Tier 4 dependant visa work restriction

Post by rajamuhdaslam » Mon Jul 17, 2017 5:05 pm

Hi there,

I am currently hold Tier-4 visa (General) student and will be expired in February 2018. My wife on the other hand holds Tier-4 dependant visa and will be expired on the same date.

My wife who graduated from UK in medicine will be started her Foundation Programme soon in August. We now facing a confusion whether she needs to apply a new visa as the visa shows a work restriction "No Dr/Dentist in Training".

We have checked from the Home Office documents and it stated clearly in it that there are few exceptional to be allowed to work and one of them is obtained the degree from the UK institution. We believe that my wife's visa is fine and she should be allowed to work but the Foundation Programme insists that she needs to apply the new visa.

Anyone has a similar experience or could give any help on this matter?
Thanks
