Dependant visa after separation

Post by Trust » Mon Jul 17, 2017 7:31 pm

I am on a tier1Ent route and my spouse is depending on me. But we recently splitted up and she is still here on my dependant visa.
Please how can I get my partner visa invalidated? And if possible, how long does it take for home office to invalidate it and what will be the home office action afterwards. Please help I am in pain.

I am so sorry to hear that. I can imagine that you are going through such a hard time. God bless you.

you need to write to UKVI, inform them about your separation.

I have gone through similar situation. I can feel the pain.

You should inform Home Office in writing as advised.
However this is not a way for you to take revenge on your spouse if you are thinking about this. :!:
Home Office will look into this properly and will assess the circumstances before curtailing any visa. This includes any domestic violence claims, children being involved or any exceptional circumstances that could affect you two.

It happened to me in 2015.

I wrote a letter to home office in August 2015, according to guidelines provided in the link.
However I immediately changed my address after writing letter to home office.
Therefore I missed acknowledgement letter, or what happened, I didnt know.

Later, I realised that I havent got any update, I called home office, they said they cant provide me information but under given circumstances, UKVI WOULD have cancelled her visa.

I wrote another letter to UKVI in August 2016, I received reply on 2 December 2016, and their reply was wierd

It stated that they are not curtailing her visa because her and my visa was expiring on 20-1-2017. That was bit wierd.

I am not sure if they curtailed her visa in August 2015 or not. Later, UKVI was acting like, they were letting her visa expired, because after that she was not able to renew it anyway.

one more important thing, my Ex left UK immediately after our dispute, on 12-3-2015.

Please write proper titles for your posts :!:
Things like 'Please help', 'urgent help', etc is not descriptive enough as a title of post :!: :!:
