Dependent visa processing timelines for Europe (Rome)

Post by V2017 » Tue Jul 18, 2017 2:19 pm

Hi everybody!

I wonder if anybody applied from Rome for a dependent visa for a partner or spouse, how much time did it take for Home Office to decide on your case? I am particularly interested in timeline for premium or priority application, when you pay extra. I heard, the visa should be ready within 15 days if you pay the priority fee, but here I see that it still can be several months. I also know that in Russia for example it always takes a lot of time and the queues are huge, but maybe if you apply from Europe it is quicker

Thanks!

Hi V2017!

I just applied for my wifes Settlement visa back on the 8th of May....
I paid the priority service and Im still waiting. Its a big con right now as I havent had one email.. not even a sniff of whats happening and wether its nearly there.
All the site does is say "awaiting descision".
Terrible service and also it costs to find out something only to be told that its awaiting a descioin.
I refrain from contacting as what I read from here on the threads.
I hear you can get it refunded if you go priority route if its over the 60 days period.

Also, the documents are scanned from Rome, so you get them back the same day.
only the passport for the applicant is kept.

Hope this helps...
Veej
