Delay in Tier 2 dependent child visa - priority service

Post by a1s2s3 » Fri Jul 21, 2017 6:29 am

Hello,

I have applied for a Tier 2 general visa and have been granted one. My wife also had a separate COS and has been granted a Tier 2 general visa. We have a 2.5 year old child who we applied for as my dependent visa. We had applied for a priority service for all 3 of us and applied from Mumbai, India and had our appointment for biometrics together. Both me and my wife received the email of passport ready for collection in 4 working days, however still no news of our child's passport despite having availed the priority service. Today is the 13th working day.

Any ideas of how to get updates regarding this or possible timelines regarding delays? Reason for the urgency is that we are both due to start new jobs in the UK on the 1st of august and would need to leave for the UK in the next few days for sorting out accommodation and pre employment formalities. And frankly at a loss of how to manage that if our child's passport isn't issued back on time without jeopardising our job security.

Also, for the past 2 years we have been in the UK. I was on a Tier 5 TW visa and both my wife and child were my dependents.

I tried emailing the help centre and all they say is even if the dependent visa is applied together it is treated as a separate application and priority service means its been placed in front of the queue and is being dealt with in priority.

Looking for some help.

Thanks

Regards

Hi,

Sorry for your situation.
I just wanted to know if you have submitted the TB test reports as you are already there in UK for 2 years and heard that TB test is not needed when you are in a country where TB screenining is not needed for 6 months.

Sorry for asking this question in this situation, but I am filling the application for my tier 2 general and stuck here.
