maternity leave on tier 2 visa

Post by pchitneni » Fri Jul 21, 2017 4:43 pm

Hi Everyone,

I am on tier 2 visa( main applicant) and expecting a baby on 2nd December. I was planning to take my paid holidays in December and then take the maternity leave for 3 months next year.

I am on tier 2 general visa from 28th Jan 2014 and will be eligible for applying ILR by 2019 Jan. I was paid 25000 per year when I was recruited but at present, I am paid 36000 per year.

Will there be any issue while applying for ILR because from Jan 2018 to Apr 2018 I will be getting statutory maternity pay?

Thank you,

Regards,
Priya

Thanks for your reply...

Another question. At present I am planning to take only 3 months maternity leave but if in case I end up taking 6 months of maternity leave, will it be a problem while applying ILR?

Thank you,

Regards,
Priya
