duration of job offer

Hi,

I have a job offer for a year from a University. They are willing to sponsor for Tier 2. Since their current confirmed funding is for a year therefore the job offer is for a year right now.
I want to know if the offer of just 1 year effects the Tier 2 application. I have had visit visa refusals in the past and the reason given was that I might not return back after visit. So I want to know if they can raise the same objection on the Tier 2 application. Thanks.
