re: children born outside UK application for registration

Post by hossamdin77 » Sat Jul 22, 2017 11:46 pm

Hello,

I would appreciate some advice please.

I am BC since Nov 15, my wife is due to apply for ILR on Dec 17.
I have 2 children both born outside UK aged 5 and 3.
My question is,
Can I skip my children application for ILR -basically to save the fees- and wait till my wife gets her ILR, then apply for my wife to naturalise and my children to register as BC?

Or I need to apply for the children for ILR first before registration as BC.
My understanding is that there is no residential requirements for children born outside UK when you apply for citizenship.

Please clarify

Hossam

The kids were not born in the UK . You cannot skip their ILR path. You will need to apply for them and then register them. If you wanted to save money, the beat option would have been , your wife giving birth to them in the UK. However that is all under the bridle now.
