Visit Visa refused for U.K

Post by Mickyumi » Sun Jul 23, 2017 9:06 pm

I have been refused visit visa to U.K. On 18 July 2017. I work in qatar and am employed with multi national company and I genuinely want to travel to U.K. For a period of 15 days for tourism. They have rejected my visa over the claim of my salary and my expenses. I prepared response for this. However how am I supposed to prove I have close ties with my home country when I am 27 years of age and living in qatar. I live in my parents home. And I have no business or any such establishment there.

Kindly advise.

Can you prove that you and your parents live at the same address?
Are your parents receiving support from you financially?
Do you have other close relatives in your home country?
A letter from your employer that you will return and join work after your holiday might also help
Any suggestions I make in the forum are out my personal experience and should not be taken as a legal/professional advise.

they do not receive any financial support from me.
i do have other close relatives in my home country but they live independently.
i am providing the letter from my employer, salary slips, bank statement, accomodation proof from sponcor.

my concern is, previously i had shown a dummy return ticket but this time i dont want to show that. i dont want to mention anything about my ticket.

A 27 year old with no responsibilities apart from employment and already living away from their home country will be seen as a high risk of overstaying in the UK.

Why would you submit a 'dummy' return ticket if you were genuinely intending to stay only 15 days :?: You mention a sponsor, are you visiting someone already resident in the UK?

Post the exact reasons given in the refusal (after removing any personal details).

The decision
I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of paragraph(s) V4.2 because:
• I have considered your application in the context of your evidenced personal circumstances and funding. You state that you intend to travel to the UK for 15 days tourism. You also state that you will pay for this visit yourself.

• You state that you are employed as a Mechanical Engineer earning xxx QAR (£xx) per month. I note that you have provided an employment letter and bank statements; however I note that the highest monthly salary deposit shown in these is only xx QAR (£xx). You have stated that you spend xx QAR (£xx) per month on living costs, which leaves you a total net monthly income of xx QAR (£xx). You have stated that you intend to spend xx QAR (£xx) during your trip to the UK. This amounts to 4 times your total demonstrated monthly income after deductions. It has not been explained how such financial expenditure on a 15 day visit is credible.

....and how are you now able to prove your claimed income was correct?

First and foremost, I would like to clarify the reasons given for my refusal and need to stress that there was misperception regarding the figures within my application. I stated that I earn xxx QAR per month and I stick to the fact that my monthly salary is xxx QAR out of which xxx QAR are credited to my bank account and xx QAR is automatically deducted and contributes towards my housing & transport allowance. The online application did not allow me to justify this nuance, hence the difference in numbers. Kindly find the attached salary slips and bank statements for your reference.

Furthermore, an additional reason given for my refusal seemed to me to be the fact that my monthly savings and perceived spend in the UK were incompatible. Since my salary is xxx QAR, my monthly expenses including my housing and transportation roughly add up to xxQAR. These figures may vary from xx - xx QAR some months, leaving behind more than xxx QAR per month in my bank account.

Total salary per month = xxx QAR.
Housing and transport allowances deduction per month = xx QAR.
Salary credited to account per month = xx QAR
Monthly expenses including housing and transportation = xx to xx QAR per month.
Money left in bank account per month = xx QAR approx. per month.

As I stated, I would be spending xx QAR in U.K. for 15 days visit which includes my return air tickets, sightseeing, local transport fare for travelling within the U.K, some shopping and buying gifts on return.
My bank account evidence clearly shows that I have the means to spend the amount up to xxx QAR during my trip as I have adequate savings to allow me to do so. I could afford to spend more (if needed) as I have saved for my pleasure trip to U.K.

Everything I have stated above is clearly backed up with evidence so please do see the attached documents.

Moreover, I was refused under article V4.2 (a) (c) which I believe is absolutely unjust for the following reasons:

It is clear to see that I am an employee of------- Company and my contract which is attached shows my length of tenure runs from 12th December 2015 – 11th December 2018. I have absolutely no reason to not return to my work here in Qatar and have no intention to jeopardize my future in not doing so. I have sought annual leave for the specific dates (evidence attached) which has been approved by the company so I can visit the UK, see my extended family who I will be staying with for the duration of my visit (proof of address attached) and for the sole purpose of tourism

this time i am attaching salary slips, contract documents
