I was wondering if you could please advise on my case. I’m spouse of British citizen and on september, I’m planning to apply for ILR via premium service in Croydon and

Question1 :

I was wondering if I can apply for citizenship through NCS on the following day without having my ILR BRP .

Would the Approval letter for ILR from Home office be enough ?

How long it takes to receive the ILR BRP ?

Question 2 :

After citizenship ceremony , I would like to apply for UK passport and change my first name on the passport from Jean-Claude Green to just Claude Green, is it possible ?

I have read that HM Passport Office block delivering passport for people that changed their name until they changed it on their original passport, even if they have used the deed poll .Could you please confirm and advise what is the easiest way to change the name on the UK passport ? as I’m looking to avoid any complication
