Can you switch to a Tier 1 entrepreneur visa while in the UK on a standard visitor visa? The gov.uk website and policy guidance state that you can switch if you are a "visitor who has been undertaking permitted activities as a prospective entrepreneur". Now the thing is that the prospective entrepreneur visa has been replaced by the standard visitor visa.

So does this mean that:

1. Anyone on a standard visitor visa can apply for an entrepreneur visa.

2. Only someone who mentioned their intention to switch to entrepreneur visa when filling the standard visitor visa form can apply for an entrepreneur visa.

It is what it says - you should have had permission to do certain activities. And there are conditions attached to getting that permission.
