Salary questions

I have been in TIer 2 sponsored licence before April 2011 and have an extension in August next month and I am in job profile of Chef and salary is £16000 and have taken lots of consultation from many Soliciter but none of them know whether being under the old rule my salary should be same or should be change from minimum £23000 to £30000 as the law says so please give me advice and let me know about the require salary.
